Remember the Rock Joshua Fall Bible Study 2015

Grace comes to us through the words we read in the Bible. We invite you to join us for 8 weeks this fall on a hope filled journey into God's word! The first 2 weeks we will learn "how to study your Bible with your heart and your mind." Then, we will dive into the book of Joshua.

God always provides.  God always keeps His word.  The people of God face real enemies, real challenges, journey many many difficult miles and have a great God who loves them and is with them.

Extravagant Grace Seminar with Barbara Duguid

Are you longing for the joy and peace that you read about in the Bible?  Are you questioning why Christians, even mature Christians, sin so often?

We live the Christian life in the tension of spiritual mourning and spiritual rejoicing.  Paul the apostle penned, "Oh wretched man that I am!" followed by "I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord."  With John Newton we say, "we are great sinners and we have a great Savior."

Barbara Duguid, author of Extravagant Grace, will be with us September 11th (beginning a 6:30 p.m) and 12th (8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m).  She prizes the sufficiency of Jesus Christ and delights in telling His excellencies!  We believe your love for Jesus will be enlarged as we explore His greatness together.  Please plan to join us and bring a friend.

Sign up here!  Cost is $15 with Saturday lunch included. $20 at the door.  Please register by Tuesday, September 8.

Sweet Sunday coming April 26, 2015

Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you ...

Do you know who you are? Do you know who you belong to? Why does this matter? How can our new identity in Christ apply in our everyday lives at home, at work, and in our relationships? How could God use you and your story to influence your family, our church, our community, and the world?

Identity Applied
Speaker:  Kirk Alexander

Romans Bible Study

We are excited to pick up where we left off in Romans! Beginning in February, we will jump back into this glorious book beginning in Romans chapter 6-7, lesson 9; finishing this Spring. A quote about Romans 7 by Martyn Lloyd-Jones: "I would venter to assert that many, not to say most of our troubles in the Christian life are due to our failure to grasp the teaching of the 7th chapter of the Epistle to the Romans. The business of chapter 7 is to repeat and re-apply what Paul said in chapter 5: 'For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved in his life' - saved completely, saved entirely, fully sanctified and perfectly glorified. How? In the life of Jesus Christ! It is the only way, nothing else can do it." And that's just chapter 7! :)

Join us as we finish this wonderful book which has impacted so many. If you did not attend the study in the Fall, please join us! Romans is full of the Gospel no matter where you land in it.

This is the study guide we will be using. Study guides are available in the bookstore. If you are new to the Romans Bible Study and need a study guide, please specify that in the comment section of the signups.

Identity Applied

And the life I now live in the flesh,
who loved me and gave himself for me.
Galatians 2:20

You can trust Jesus, Son of God, with your life, with your family, with your neighbors, with Redeemer Church, with Hampton Roads, with the U.S.A., and with the world. He is lovingly shepherding us through the months, weeks, days, and even minutes of 2015!

We invite you to join together with all the ladies of Redeemer Church on our first Sweet Sunday of 2015, February 8, at 6:30 p.m. for a night of holy encouragement.

You will be changed through fellowship and through God's word. Eric Hughes will introduce our theme, Identity Applied. There will be love, laughter, hope, truth, sisterhood through our BIG GOD held out for you on this special night. We hope to see YOU there!
